Last week, Joshua Bassett came in hot, lighting the stage on fire at Hammerstein Ballroom in New York. The 22-year-old kicked off the North American leg of his Complicated Tour earlier this month and is heading over to Europe in April. Whether you're seeing Bassett in the States or overseas, one thing is for sure, you're in for a energetic show.

Right from the jump Joshua Bassett came out dancing and running all over the stage as he opened with "Feel Something". Boy could you feel something alright. You could instantly feel the joy and liveliness in the room, not a single person was standing still.

Bassett sang songs ranging all the way from his first single "Common Sense" to "Finally Free" from High School Musical: The Musical: The Series to his latest single "Different". Between each song he would take time to engage with the crowd and share personal stories and lessons he's learned.

There was never a dull moment during the show, it didn't matter if he was singing an upbeat, sly song like "Secret" or a slower more intimate song like "Lifeline", Bassett put his all into each performance. Watching him it's abundantly clear that this is someone who truly loves what they do and cares about the people that support him. From beginning till end you can see just how much being on stage and entertaining the crowd means to Joshua Bassett and that's a very powerful thing to have and something that also makes for an impactful performance that will stay with you long after the show.

You Gotta Listen: Smoke Slow, Doppelganger, i'm sorry, SHE SAID HE SAID SHE SAID
