After the fiasco with Taylor Swift's "The Eras Tour" presale, Ticketmaster decided to cancel the general public sale. This came as devastating news to many fans, especially as TikToks and tweets began circulating where fans documented how resellers were selling tickets on Stubhub for thousands of dollars.

Shortly after, Taylor broke her silence via her Instagram stories. Mainly, the pop star addressed that she was aware of the situation. It was expected that she wouldn't comment right away, but the cancellation of the pre-sale definitely required a response.

"I'm not going to make excuses for anyone because we asked them, multiple times, if they could handle this kind of demand and we were assured they could," Taylor Swift said in her Instagram stories.

Despite the fact that the message was well-received by fans of the artist, some Swifties continued to express their frustration with Ticketmaster, and others also included Taylor in their messages. Others simply found ways to lighten the situation or express their frustration through humor.

While Swifties are divided on the whole experience, there was a positive reaction to Taylor speaking up about the issue publicly. This isn't the first time Ticketmaster has caused anger among live music fans. Artists like Zach Bryan and Noah Kahan also expressed disappointment with the ticket-selling platform after their own tours were selling for expensive numbers.
