Alex O'Connor, better known as Rex Orange County, is a bedroom pop artist that blends notes of jazz, hip-hop, and soul to create truly authentic music. He released his first album "bcos u will never b free" when he was a teenager, and his music instantly began to capture the attention of our entire generation. Hailing from Grayshott which is on the border of Hampshire and Surrey, Rex Orange County got his start as an artist in his school choir, where he developed a love of listening to both contemporary and classic musicians. He is a self-taught drummer and was accepted in the prestigious BRIT School in London when he was in high school. There he picked up the guitar and piano, and gained skills in production while working on his first album.
Some of his viral songs include "Uno," "Best Friend," and "Sunflower" before he released his second self-produced LP, Apricot Princess. Earlier this year, he released the single "Keep It Up" ahead of the drop of his fourth LP, "Who Cares?," which was released in March.
