Tour Diaries: Bomba Estéreo

Bringing a taste of Colombian sound to New York, Bomba Estéreo took the stage at the Palladium Times Square Theater for an unforgettable night in high spirits.

It was the last night of summer 2022 and the cool approach of fall could be felt all around NYC. It was the last night of summer 2022 and the cool approach of fall could be felt all around NYC. But in the heart of Times Square, things were heating up as fans gathered outside of the Palladium Times Square Theater. A line of fans could be seen wrapping around the block as guests lined up for what was sure to be one of the hottest events in town as Colombia's own Bomba Estéreo took the stage and brought some of that tropical Latin heat they're so well known for.

It was a night that saw the likes of Lil Nas X, Harry Styles and even President Joe Biden visit the city, but it was Bomba Estéreo that was putting on the party of the night. In support of their newest multi latin grammy nominated album Deja, Bomba Estéreo gave fans a night to remember as they got everyone dancing, sweating and crying tears of joy during a 2 hour set that would no doubt be memorable for all that attended.

The night had it all, music, dancing, partying, costume changes and even love as New Yorks own Felipe Rios was brought on stage by Li Saumet to deliver a very special message to partner Henry Alfonso Guarini. (He said yes btw!) Bomba gave both new and old fans a bit of everything as they made their way through tracks from various albums spanning their lengthy career. Before the night ended the Colombian group brought out Latin Grammy winning violinist, La Lulu to accompany the band on songs "Ojitos Lindos" and "El Alma Y el Cuerpo" to cap off the night. All in all if there was anywhere to be in the city on Wednesday night it was definitely at the Bomba Estéreo show.
