Tour Diaries: The Regrettes

The four-piece band, The Regrettes, featuring lead vocalist Lydia Night, bassist Brooke Dickson, guitarist Genessa Gariano, and drummer Drew Thomsen made a stop in Columbus, Ohio at the Newport Music Hall on their Further Joy Tour. The crowd sang and danced the night away along with the band to the tune of The Regrettes's latest album, Further Joy.

Guitarist Genessa and vocalist Lydia met when they were teenagers, but bandmates Brooke and Drew were not added into the mix until 2019. However, upon watching the band perform - you would think they have all known each other for their entire lives. The Regrettes are simply a joy to watch, and it is abundantly clear that they all love being on stage together.

The Regrettes’s third album was released April 8, 2022 much to their fans’ delight. Written and created during the pandemic, the album is one of band’s danciest and poppiest collection of songs they’ve released. The songs “Monday” and “Barely On My Mind,” have both racked in more than 6 million streams on Spotify since the album's release, and there is no doubt that those numbers will continue to climb.
