Matthew Hoffman: The Voice and Soul of Love Island US

Maddie and Shane from our MUDDY podcast caught up with the hilarious host to talk all things Love Island, his favorite couples and seasons, and his projects off the reality show.

Matthew is the narrator of the hit reality show LOVE ISLAND for CBS. The series returns tonight and runs through August 14th. There have been several TWEETS about people wanting Matthew to “narrate their life”, “read them novels” and suggesting “he should do audio books” from previous seasons.

Meet Matthew Hoffman

The voice behind the famous CBS reality show Love Island US belongs to the hilarious Matthew Hoffman. While most of his work takes place off-camera, the magic and excitement that we get from seeing hot single people compete for love is in a large part thanks to the witty and funny remarks that Matthew makes during every episode.

In a way, he's our travel guide through the chaotic and sometimes ridiculous moments that fill this unique reality show. And while his voice might be the first thing you recognize when you listen to his episode in MUDDY, Matthew is quickly becoming a household name thanks to his bubbly personality and incredible work off the show.

More than a host and a TV personality, Matthew Hoffman is hands down one of the funniest people you'll ever meet. For three seasons, he has become a fan favorite with audiences, seven nights a week as the official voice, narrator, and co-writer of “Love Island USA” on CBS and “Laid Bare” on Paramount Plus. In addition to his voice work, Matthew also hosts the celebrity interview show "Sit Down with the Stars" for Regal Movies and recently hosted the LIVE Official Red Carpet at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards as a MasterCard Ambassador.

Even with his crazy busy schedule, Matthew has found the time to give back to a unique part of his community. He volunteers as an acting coach at the Culver City Senior Center in California, where he helps the residents put on scenes from movies such as "Casablanca" and "Clueless," sharing a piece of his characteristic joy and talent with the community.
