Not only do we get to hear the second part of the song, but Maisie has also released an official live video shot at Los Angeles’ El Rey Theatre at the conclusion of her North American tour. We first heard a part of "Cate's Brother" on TikTok. The teaser videos received tons of attention and love on the social media platform, where they have now racked up more than fifteen million views. She even played the song to her friend Cate, who is also an artist, and invited her to go on stage at one of her stops on tour.

“I wrote this song in Stockholm at a time I was revisiting a lot of the pop punk music I grew up listening to and thinking about how live I wanted my next era of music to feel” Maisie said. “I always wanted to be in a band and so I channelled that energy into this song about my friend Cate’s brother, that’s become this whole universe bigger than both of us.”

As soon as the tour was done, Maisie flew overseas to meet Ed Sheeran for his "+ - = ÷ x Tour" in Europe. When Maisie was featured on the cover of MUD for March of this year, we learned that she's currently working on the next album to follow her highly acclaimed debut album, "You Signed Up For This."
