Tour Diaries: LAYA

New York artist LAYA brought the magic to SOB last Friday, as she continues touring with PHABO for his "How's My Driving" North America and UK tour.

Queer icon King Princess set the stage ablaze during her latest concert stop at The Fillmore in Philadelphia, showcasing local talent by sharing the stage with Moon Baby and St. Panther.

Staten-island born and raised R&B artist LAYA, recently released her single “Sailor Moon 2.0” ft. Baby Tate. The creative singer-songwriter not only self-directs her own music videos, but also does her own hair, makeup and styles her looks for every performance – we love a ‘does-it-all’ queen.

Her single “Crazy Down” went viral on TikTok with over 3 million views, followed by her EP Um, Hello which has 10 million streams worldwide. And for the fans who are thrilled to get more from LAYA, she is currently on a North America and UK tour with PHABO.

We attended her live performance at SOB in New York on October 7th, and aside from having the entire audience dancing and vibing to her songs, her interaction with the fans in between songs was led by her fun and creative spirit that makes you fall in love with her as an artist and person.

We are always looking for new artists that we can see evolve into icons, and we are confident that LAYA is constantly earning that status with her unique sound, captivating spirit, and stage presence.
