Lady Gaga Says Patrizia Gucci Placed a Hex on Her for 'House of Gucci'

From a swarm of flies to constant fear that Patrizia would confront her, Lady Gaga's press tour for the film has been filled with strange and weird occurrences.

Lady Gaga says Patrizia Gucci placed a hex on her during the filming of House of Gucci due to their public feud about portraying the story of the Gucci family.

The House of Gucci film starring Lady Gaga and Adam Driver made headlines in November when it hits theaters. The plot centers around a dramatized version of the story of the Gucci family: the Italian dynasty that is responsible for the world-renowned fashion house, even when none of the original family members are currently involved with the brand at all.

Former designer of Gucci and fashion icon, Tom Ford, penned an essay where he called the film, "deeply sad," but recognized the great performance by the cast, especially Lady Gaga. However, not everyone shared the same thoughts.

Patrizia Gucci, the person who the film is largely inspired by, has been vocal about her discontent with everything that has to do with the film. She even criticized the casting for the film. In an article in The Guardian, she said: “My grandfather was a very handsome man, like all the Guccis, and very tall, blue eyes and very elegant. He is being played by Al Pacino, who is not very tall already, and this photo shows him as fat, short, with sideburns, really ugly. Shameful, because he doesn’t resemble him at all.”

However, recently comments have been resurfacing where Lady Gaga claims that Patrizia placed a hex on her. In an interview with W Magazine, she said: “On the last day of filming, I was on the balcony of my apartment in Rome, and I was blasting Dean Martin singing ‘Mambo Italiano’” – because Italians listen to Mambo Italiano – “and I had a cigarette hanging out of my mouth. I was Patrizia. But I knew I had to say goodbye to her. Large swarms of flies kept following me around, and I truly began to believe that she had sent them.”

What do you think? Is Lady Gaga suffering from a hex by Patrizia, or could this be her inability to leave such an iconic performance (and character) behind? Let us know on the Insta post below:
