ICYMI: Looks from The Grammys

The annual Grammy Awards show was on March 14, featuring groundbreaking artists like Lizzo and Taylor Swift. Aside from these artists receiving awards for their musical talents, I’ll be awarding the best and worst looks of the night.

Taylor Swift

Taylor kicked it in Louboutin heels, and a girly floral dress from Oscar de la Renta to match the perfect spring aesthetic. I can’t imagine how uncomfortable it is to wear flowers, either real or faux, along your sleeves and neckline, but Taylor pulls it off in the most elegant way.

Dua Lipa

I always expect something trendy and cool from Dua Lipa and that’s exactly what she brought to the 2021 Grammy Awards in this sparkly, transparent Versace slit leg dress.

Jhene Aiko

Jhene Aiko showed everyone up wearing her giant, puffy, pink gown looking like Lottie from The Princess and the Frog. Although, unlike Lottie, she already has a prince (Big Sean) on her arm.

Noah Cyrus

This dress from Schiaparelli reminds me of a mix between a creme puff and a traditional greek toga because of its pastry like color and drapery around the body. Either way Noah Cyrus gives us fashionistas something to talk about.

Harry Styles

We can always expect the unexpected from Harry Styles even if that means a Gucci replica of Cher’s iconic yellow blazer from the movie ‘Clueless’ paired with a lavender boa. You decide who wore it better, Cher or Harry?

Lizzo

Lizzo served us with two different looks, this stunning seafoam green dress which vaguely reminds me of prom night. Her second outfit was this stunning, ruffled, one shoulder pink number.

Even Though some of these looks were out of the box, and definitely wouldn’t be my first choice if I had the privilege of going to a fancy event during a pandemic, I still love these designers for creating beautiful outfits and the stars for showcasing them for all of us to admire.
