All-things-spooky sensation Celina Spooky Boo first went viral for sharing her sleepwalking videos.
With more than 22 million followers on TikTok, Celina Myers, aka CelinaSpookyBoo, we consider Celina the queen of paranormal. Not only did her sleepwalking series became a TikTok favorite, but she's the author of three best-selling supernatural books, hosts an all-things paranormal podcast “The Haunted Estate,” and created her own make-up and beauty line, BeautyXBoo.
Your sleepwalking series on TikTok became very popular in a short amount of time. Tell us about the process of setting up for these videos and what it’s like watching the reactions of people?
I sleepwalk when I eat cheese or chocolate before bed, also when I'm super stressed, which we think the cheese and chocolate stress my body while I'm sleeping because both I don't do well with. When I watch back the footage I surprise myself every time, it makes me laugh just as much as everyone else!
You’re a published author of a few spine-chilling fictional novels and the current host of a podcast called "The Haunted Estate." What's the process like of making the podcast and the creative space you work in when writing your books?
Honestly writing stresses me out, I have to be in the right frame of mind and have a nice clean desk-space and house when I get into it, I also like going away to nice hotels to write to get away and into a different atmosphere! Filming and recording podcasts is super fun. We have a podcast studio in my house and have help from studio 71 to edit and help take some of the logistics of our plate. They are great. I love the interaction we have had with listeners throughout the past months. We have had so much fun hearing everybody's stories!
Beauty X Boo is your sold out makeup line that includes a beautiful eyeshadow palette, a highlighter, lashes, and a red lipstick. How did this project begin?
This was something I started because I have always had a love for makeup since I was a child, my mom would let me use it from a young age and that encouraged me to get creative with it. Starting my own pallet came along when I had a following on Tiktok and wanted to share the colors I love with my followers so we could do our makeup together in the mornings while I went live and we could all have something fun in common and something they could have of mine to enjoy! Choosing my color stories is always my favourite part as this is where i feel very confident as a creator, and the names make you laugh and smile while you're doing your makeup in the morning, there's no better time of day to start smiling than when putting your makeup on shortly after you wake up to get ready to take on the day!
