The band, hailing from the picturesque Victorian town of Geelong, brings a fresh sound to the table, blending country-tinged vintage rock with a contemporary energy that has caught our attention.

Scheduled to perform at SXSW 2024, Bones and Jones are set to make their mark in the US, introducing audiences to their latest musical project. The EP, available on all major streaming platforms, offers a glimpse into the band's evolving sonic landscape, signaling a new era for the group.

"In Blue" takes a bold step into the indie rock facet of Bones and Jones' sound, a departure from the folk and garage fusion of their previous work. The EP features standout tracks like "Need It" and "Simple Passion," both released as singles at the end of last year. The former exudes Strokes-reminiscent vibes, while the latter captivates with its melancholy and heartfelt tones.

What sets "In Blue" apart is Bones and Jones' willingness to experiment with new elements. The band delves into the world of drum machines and synths, as heard in the synth-tinged alt-rock track "In Ya Nature." This innovative approach signifies a thrilling new chapter for Bones and Jones, as they trade their signature slide guitar for a more contemporary sound.

The band's roots trace back to their high school days in Geelong, yet now they are currently based in an old apple orchard on the Victorian surf coast/Wathaurong Country. This unique setting has influenced their friendship within the band, delivering all the inspiration needed to craft a distinctive sound.

With an impressive track record of opening for acclaimed bands like King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Angel Olsen, and Twin Peaks, Bones and Jones are no strangers to the stage. Currently, they are captivating audiences across Australia as they open for Melbourne trio The Grogans.

As Bones and Jones embark on their journey to SXSW 2024, fans can expect a show filled with energy and a dynamic showcase of their evolving musical prowess.
