In the film, Billie admits she knows everything about Justin. He has been Billie’s idol since she was 12-years-old, as he was for so many others.
The two officially first met at Coachella 2019 when Billie was 17-years-old. Billie said that when they hugged, she cried in his arms for “literally five minutes.”
After this heartfelt meeting, Billie tearfully reads an encouraging message she received from Justin.
“It’s moments like tonight where I’m reminded what I mean to people. Your love for me touched my heart. You are so special, not for what you can do, but for who you are. Remember that. I am so impressed by your aura and presence. You carry a heavy calling. You are an idol to so many. I’m excited to watch you flourish. You are beyond special. Thank you for tonight. It meant just as much to me as it meant to you. I also want to let you know that it feels like yesterday I was 15 singing “One Time,” and now I’m 25, and that was 10 years ago. It flew by like a flash. Enjoy every minute of what you are experiencing. Embrace it all, believe you are great, but not greater than anyone.”
During earlier years, before Billie’s rise to fame, her mom even considered taking Billie to therapy for her Bieber Fever.
"There were days, driving her to dance class and thinking, 'How are we going to cope with this?' She's just lovesick. Desperately in love with Justin Bieber," said Billie’s mom in the film.
After Billie won five Grammys in 2020, Justin Facetimed Billie to congratulate her and to let her know he's proud of all the work she's done.
"Congrats. How are you feeling?" Bieber said. "Wasn't that amazing? How did it feel? Everything you could've imagined?"
"Completely. I can't believe it. It's insane," responded Eilish.
Billie has gone on to become the first artist born in the 21st century and 3rd Gen Z artist to have a number one song on the Hot 100. She has also confirmed a new album, created during the COVID-19 lockdown, that is expected to drop later in 2021.
