Alondra Delgado Talks New Book "Is Mejor to Say Adios"
The CW's "All-American" actress recently released her new book of poems, a unique and beautiful project that explores the hardships of love.

In season 3 of All-American, you give life to Vanessa Montes. What was your favorite part of working on this huge series? Are there any memorable moments behind cameras that you’re able to share?
Vanessa, yes! Playing her was so special. My favorite part of working in All American was having the chance to work with such a talented and amazing cast. I learned a lot from everyone. The best moments were filming Episode 6 in the cabin. I remember one time we were playing games in a circle for hours while we waited for set. It was a great experience!
We know every actor has their own creative process. How do you prepare to embody a character? Are there any parts of acting that present a bigger challenge than others?
Yes, everyone has their own way, but for me, I first try to find similarities between me and the character. I find things I can connect and relate to so I can understand the character better. Sometimes it’s difficult whenever there aren’t as many similarities because it could lead to not enough passion and realness.

You’re the lead of the upcoming film, “Safe House.” We cannot wait for this action-packed story! Is there anything you can tease at the moment about the project or your character, Carla?
Oh Safe House! I am so excited for everyone to watch this film. It’s an action film with a strong, independent, but fierce young girl. Carla is a med student who gets involved in a very dangerous situation and has to fight for survival. It’s very different from what I usually play.
