With her unique voice, the soulful Tertia May has become a household name in the London Jazz and Neo-Soul scenes.
Tertia May knew from a young age she belonged on stage. Her deep obsession with music and the depth and range of her unique voice launched her into becoming a household name in the London Jazz and Neo-Soul scenes with multiple Boiler Room performances under her belt, a Colors performance with almost 2 million streams, a double headline at Camden’s legendary Jazz Café, a sold out Omeara show, a co-sign from David Beckham (who flew her to perform in Milan for DB eyewear) and a campaign as the face of Nike TN. Tertia is now gearing up to release her third EP ‘TM Radio’ in June 2021 on Twisted Hearts Records.
I love to sing, write songs, perform those songs and entertain people. My favourite colour is either orange or baby blue and my favourite dish is probably sushi. I grew up in South West London but now I’m a resident in North East.
I grew up in the southern parts of London, and started really hanging out there when I was young, attending open jams, mic nights, jazz clubs etc. I had never experienced such a cool, underground, authentic jazz scene like this before and something just had me gripped. I fell in love with what I was hearing; this London take on jazz & soul and I got hooked. I guess those experiences unlocked pandoras box. Il never go back to anything else.
Attitude, sass, strength, femininity, power and fire.

Amy Winehouse- what is it about men.
You gotta work very hard 24/7, don’t waste any time, be active always.
It definitely encouraged me to pursue music because I was around that creative energy all the time and it sparked something in me to find out more and explore my own music ability. I was too young to really remember how I felt about the Spice girls but I think now, I relate to sporty spice the most. Energy always and sick trainers.
